The coastal people of Nusantara has a different character from the rural. These coastal people are more open, warm and adaptable to a new thing. Pekalongan people residing in the North Coast of Java have unique and specific characteristics of other coastal people in the archipelago. This character is seen in the results of batik that they produce from time to time. This research uses ethnographic method through literature study, observation and interview with some experts and batik actors originating from Pekalongan and surrounding areas. This diachronic visual assessment shows how harmonious cultural acculturation takes place between local culture and foreign culture as well as external cultures themselves, through the visualization of batik.
